I am writing on behalf of all the members of the Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild to say what a very satisfactory time we had this year during packing week 17th-19th of September. We managed to collect and buy 19,114 articles for distribution to all the charities we support. This was less than last year but we did buy some much larger items such as sleeping bags and large winter items which are very much in demand.
Everybody worked very hard for the three days and we were honoured by the presence of HRH Princess Alexandra on the Tuesday when she managed to talk to nearly everybody in all the rooms.
We have managed to obtain some lovely photographs taken by Mr Chris Stock which you can look at and order. Click Here to view the pictures and If you want any please contact me via my email graylinghouse@yahoo.co.uk . Tell me how many you want and the number of the photo and I will send them to you. The cost will be £2.00 each and all profits will go to the Guild. Please make out the cheque to Elizabeth Jones. My address is Grayling House, Forest Row, East Sussex RH18 5EH
Thank you all for a wonderful year everybody worked very hard and very well. We now start again building up for the forthcoming year.
