‘Tricky Winners’ fund warm clothing for men in need this winter

Guild Ambassador Tessa Crawford, with her team of Friends and helpers, raised over £1,600 by organising an online Trickster Bridge Tournament during the third (and we sincerely hope last) COVID lockdown.  Bridge fours paid  £10 a head to play the best of three Rubbers with prizes for the top two scores which went to pairs Rolly Crawford/Richard Ohlson with 5,870 points and Nigel Gourlay/Rolly Crawford with 5,130 points, and the Wooden Spoon to Kate Jenkins and Liz Harvey with 360 points – clearly a fun afternoon with not many cards!!

The fantastic sum raised will be spent on Men’s Clothing, which Tessa runs at Packing Week.  All the money raised will purchase much needed T-shirts, Tracksuits, Jeans, Fleeces and Waterproof Kagools for around 40 charities working with men.  These included ex servicemen, homeless shelters, out reach and rehabilitation units in London and across the country.

Well done to the winners and losers and a huge thank you to Tessa and her team for organising such a successful fundraiser.  Why not turn your hobby into a fun way of raising much needed funds for the Guild and choose exactly what you would like to spend the money on from the list of items we offer the charities each autumn.
