Friends of the Guild gathered for our Annual General Meeting at the Royal Automobile Club in Central London on Wednesday, 30th April 2025.
We were delighted to welcome our speaker, Richard Francis, House Manager of Ronald McDonald House, who gave an inspiring talk about the invaluable work of Ronald McDonald House, its history, and its growth and how the donation of items from QMCG each year during Packing Week makes a significant difference to the families they support. We also enjoyed speeches from Chair of Trustees, Mary Guppy, Honorary Treasurer, Sharon Stewart, and Executive Chair Ruth Briant, who stepped down at the end of her three-year term.
After the speeches, we were thrilled to announce the winner of the QMCG fundraising ticket auction. We were so kindly donated tickets for the Wimbledon Championships this Summer and the wonderful Gifford’s Circus. We raised £2300 in total, with all the proceeds going to Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild.
Tea was served after the meeting, including delicious cakes, sandwiches and a glass of prosecco! Guests enjoyed browsing our QMCG merchandise and handmade knitted novelties on the sales table run by Executive Committee members Donna Hart and Vicki Meakin.
